Overwhelmed with O – A to Z Blog Challenge (O) #atozchallenge

O, O, O.  O, I’m sO behind. I’m getting behind in my posts, and I have new visitors I’d like to visit back.

O, how will I ever catch up?

Opportunity to learn
Use your weaknesses as an opportunity to pick up some tricks! Sometimes when we see yet another problem with ourselves, we feel the weight of a mountain pressing down. More problems? I can’t even deal with the ones I have!

The first step is to identify if it really IS a problem you need to worry about. We shouldn’t feel like we need to be perfect – our ideosynchrasies help us to be unique, and that’s what people remember us for.

When you do find something big that troubles you, see if there are any fun ways to tackle it, that make it a fun and exciting challenge and learning opportunity instead of just one more thing you have to worry about.

Outgoing or Introvert
Doesn’t matter your personality – being shy doesn’t make you weak. If you don’t have lots of friends, or you can’t be the life of the party, don’t fret! Some of the best ideas in any career come from the deep thinkers, the ones who like to stick to themselves and stay in their comfort zones.

Your contributions to society may come quietly, instead of being announced by trumpets, however are just as powerful and moving. Don’t try to be someone you’re not, just because “someone else” appears to be cool or successful.

Quite often, the ones you see as being successful and outgoing have their own sets of problems and secretly wish they were you.

What do we do when it’s too much to handle? We need to allow ourselves to get behind, and to unwind. To sleep in. To push off those deadlines you can’t push.

It’s just going to happen. When you are at your wit’s end, anything you try to do will have diminishing returns. If your deadline is in one week, and you try to push through when you know you’re busted, you’ll take three weeks at least. Instead, if you just take three or four days off, in the end, when you get back you’ll be super productive again and won’t miss that deadline by that much.

Plus you won’t drive yourself into the hospital. You think I’m kidding?
